Jane Mack

Jane Mack has served as the President and CEO of FSA since 2008. With more than 30 years of experience in the field of healthcare, she brings a diverse range of expertise to her role, including program development, board and staff education, quality assurance and management.

Jane’s passion for working with others to develop their strengths began early in her career, when she was working on a dialysis unit. She had the opportunity to teach, develop training programs and serve as a mentor, and quickly realized the fulfillment she found in coaching and helping people succeed.

Collaboration among internal staff and industry peers is central to her philosophy of success. This approach, she says, is only natural, as she has a twin sister with whom she has “collaborated for all of her life.”

This theme has carried out through her work with FSA’s membership, which includes CCRCs/life plan communities, home care groups, foundations and others. Through FSA, Jane supports the best practices, progress and success of senior care staff and boards nationwide, and helps them maintain a unique, values-based approach to their work with the aging population.

With an eye on making each organization’s goals and values feel attainable, Jane has spearheaded several key initiatives. These include the FSA Internship Program, designed to connect young professionals to the opportunities of working within the senior living industry; the FSA Leadership Institute, an intensive experiential retreat for emerging leaders in the field of senior services; and the Values Summit, a member symposium designed to guide organizations through methods of making their Quaker values accessible for staff, clients and residents.

Under her leadership, FSA has grown to provide services to more than 80 nonprofit organizations in 14 states, and professionals nationwide have participated in hundreds of educational workshops, retreats, symposiums and webinars offered through FSA. She works closely with executive teams and governance to assist in matters of board and organizational development, oversight, conflicts of interest and board and staff role clarity.

Jane has presented at both local and national level conferences and training sessions on topics that include strategic decision making; fundraising; compliance; communication and more. She served as a consultant and Peer Reviewer for the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations Standards for Excellence program as well as a member of the state-wide Standards for Excellence Committee. She teaches graduate level coursework in organizational systems at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Philadelphia, PA.

Jane holds a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University and a M.S. in Organizational Development and Leadership from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She and her husband, Charles, live with their black Labrador, Fezzik. They are parents to two grown children, Sarah and Andrew, and have two grandchildren, Lily and Landon.
